NEW YORK (CBS) Rapper Nicki Minaj is rising in the charts with her latest single "Your Love."

PICTURES: Nicki Minaj Sextape Video Scandal

The 25-year-old rapper has now released a video to the Annie Lennox-sampled tune, which is now a Billboard Number 1 rap hit, the first by a female rapper in more than eight years.

She was initially reluctant to release the song, but was forced to after it leaked - and eventually blew up - on the Internet, according to MTV News.

Shot by noted music video director Hype Williams, the four-minute clip shows an almost demure Minaj cooing for the affections of a irrepressible lover.

In a line from the tune, the female M.C. says emphatically that for "your love she will 'Die Hard' like Bruce Willis." Her verbal word play is tongue-and-cheek yet undeniably addictive from first listen to the tune's throbbing backbeat.

Minaj frolics throughout the clip in Asian-inspired garb, slaying any figures daring to challenge the love of her "samurai." Couldn't help thinking of pop icon Janet Jackson in another Williams-directed clip "Call On Me" with Minaj's polished look, sharp-as-knives nails and multiple wardrobe changes.

The same figures Minaj slashes in "Your Love" could very well be her musical predecessors as the Queens, N.Y., rapper looks to conquer the entire hip hop industry, one chart entry at a time. And with a winning number like "Your Love" she's on the right track.

And so the official, Jimmy Iovine sanctioned roll-out of “Under Pressure” begins. If you listen real close I think you can hear an NMC tag. I wonder if the song is still sitting around Dre’s studio “unfinished” and they just sold HP the instrumental? I also wonder if they were shooting for intentional irony by using a song that Dre seems reluctant to complete and release, from an album that he seems reluctant to complete and release, in a commercial that depicts him “remastering” and improving a laptop for the marketplace. It looks like they’re gonna extend this ridiculously long and drawn out album hype cycle with an additional, exhausting promotional build up to an album that can’t possibly be good enough to justify this decade long jerk around we’ve been getting.ed08cb847aa149cf0545193f9defc6a8

In a rather alarming trend, more and more R&B singers seem to be abandoning the genre to make straight ahead pop tunes. Here’s are the videos for Ne-Yo’s contribution to the Fist-Pump Movement: “Beautiful Monster” and “Champagne Life

Whether it was because of a media conspiracy, as he alleges, because the album wasn’t very good, or a little bit of both, the numbers say that Chris Brown’s Graffiti was a relative flop for Breezy. Attempting to recover his previous spot at the top of the game, Brown is looking to get a boost by teaming up with Cash Money young stunna Tyga for a collabo mixalbum, Fan of a Fan. While Brown both rhymes and raps on Fan, on standout track Deuces, he leaves the mic work to Tyga and newcomer Kevin McCall, instead concentrating, and succeeding, on dropping a typically smooth vocal performance over a simple but effective beat from KMack and Jahlil. So how about it Booth nation? Can we call it a comeback (after all, he’s been here for years), or is Brown still a long way from regaining his former glory? Those who answered yes to the first question have undoubtedly already downloaded Ill Will & DJ Rockstar Present: Chris Brown & Tyga Fan of a Fan, available now.

USHER -there goes my baby

Usher performed the song on Lopez Tonight on June 2, 2010[2] He performed it live on iHeartradio, accompanied with his hit singles, including Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home), 2008 smash hit Love In This Club, and a cover of Stevie Wonder's 1981 single, That Girl.[3] Usher also performed the song on the 2010 BET Awards.
[edit] Music video

The music video for "There Goes My Baby" was filmed on June 16, 2010 and directed by Anthony Mandler.[4] The music video premiered on BET 106 & Park and Vevo on July 13, 2010.[5]
[edit] Chart performance

The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 71, and since peaked at number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100, and number 2 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop chart.

Hayley Williams and B.o.B.'s "Airplanes" video finally premiered, and like the song itself, the Hiro Murai-directed video is dark, if not a harbinger of doom. While there's no clear star or storyline to the "Airplanes" video, B.o.B. is featured more prominently, while Hayley Williams, shown mainly in profile, takes a backseat on the rather bleak record.

A beautiful yet ominous and haunting song, "Airplanes" is a reflection upon fame -- reminiscent of Lupe Fiasco's "Superstar" and Drake's "Over" -- and the video, perhaps much like fame itself, is a cheerless collection of lights, fast-moving imagery and solitude.

Eminem - Not Afraid....PURCHASE THIS ALBUM BELLOW!!!

PURCHASE THIS ALBUM BELLOW!!!
Recovery is the seventh studio album by American rapper Eminem, released June 18, 2010, on Polydor Records and Interscope Records. Production for the album took place during 2009 to 2010 and was handled by several record producers, including Alex da Kid, Just Blaze, Boi-1da, Jim Jonsin, DJ Khalil, and Dr. Dre.

The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 741,000 copies in its first week. It became Eminem's sixth consecutive number-one album in the United States and has produced two singles that achieved chart success, including international hits "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie". Upon its release, Recovery received generally positive reviews from most music critics.

In a press release, Eminem explained that he and Dr. Dre had recorded a considerable amount of music and thus, "Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff."[3] According to Angela Yee's Shade 45 interview with Eminem on April 23, 2009, Relapse 2 will be a continuation of Relapse.[4] During the interview Eminem also confirmed "It's extremely close to being finished, it just depends on how many songs I want to put on it."[5] On June 25, 2009, Eminem called into Shade 45 and said he was in the studio finishing up Relapse 2

In a Shade 45 interview, Eminem explained that the album was more "emotionally driven" than the first Relapse record, which was, as he explains "[just] rap records".[7] When premiering the debut single, Eminem also let listeners know that there weren't any skits on the album, so the album would contain more songs than his previous studio albums.[8]

In an interview with The Alchemist, he confirmed a song titled "Insult to Injury" in which Eminem performs in his normal voice. He described the song as somewhat of a sequel to "Underground," the final track from the previous album, Relapse. Another confirmed song is titled "Hit Me With Your Best Shot". The song features his rap group D12, Bizarre of D12 said the new song shows the groups strength despite losing Proof, who was the founder of the group. "We're still family, but everybody's got their own situations going on," he added. "No matter what y'all do, you can't hold D12 down. We've been through a lot of shit, but we're still gonna come back and recover."[9] When speaking to MTV, affiliate DJ Whoo Kid stated he heard some songs from the album. He confirmed that the song, "The Warning," a diss record to Mariah Carey, was not as intense as the entire album would be, saying the album is 'maniacal'.[10] On October 3, 2009, Eminem appeared on Shade 45 with DJ Whoo Kid where he stated that a track with 50 Cent, in which the two rap together on verses, existed.[11] In the same interview, he also confirmed both Just Blaze and Denaun Porter as producers on the album.[11] Bizarre of D12 stated that the group recorded a song for the album tentatively titled "Hit Me With Your Best Shot".[12]

On April 13, 2010, Eminem tweeted "There is no Relapse 2" to his followers. When he tweeted this, people started to believe that he was not releasing an album at all, but it meant simply that the album would be changed to Recovery. He confirmed this by tweeting "Recovery" with a link to his website. Eminem said "I had originally planned for Relapse 2 to come out last year. But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to Relapse started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album. The music on Recovery came out very different from Relapse, and I think it deserves its own title."[13][14] On April 27, Eminem released a freestyle titled "Despicable" over "Over" by Drake and "Beamer, Benz, or Bentley" by Lloyd Banks featuring Juelz Santana as promo for the first single, "Not Afraid", which debuted on Shade 45 on April 29.[15] In a recent interview Eminem said "I must have gone through 200-300 beats, for the album and chose 100 of them and recorded it."[16]
Guests

As for guests on the album, Eminem had confirmed back when the album was still entitled Relapse 2 that he worked with both Dr. Dre and 50 Cent on the album. D12, Royce da 5'9",[17] Lloyd Banks[18] and Cashis[19] had been speculated as possible features on the album. However, none of these artists are actually featured. Recovery only featured guest appearances by rapper Lil Wayne and solo singers Kobe, Pink and Rihanna. In interview with Skyrock FM Eminem said he decided to include Pink on "Won't Back Down" after recording his parts first because he "felt like she would smash this record".[20] On the bonus track "Session One", Eminem features supergroup Slaughterhouse, signed with Shady Records.[21]
Release and promotion

His seventh studio album,[13][3][22] Recovery was confirmed during a press release by Eminem's label on March 5, 2009 and was originally titled Relapse 2. In June 2009, Eminem said that he expected a release during the fourth quarter of 2009,[6] with Rolling Stone reporting a November 2009 release date,[23] but in November 2009, he stated that he would re-release Relapse, with extra songs, to hold fans over for the release of Relapse 2 in 2010.[24] It was voted the most anticipated album of fall 2009 by XXL,[25] It was slated to be the second Eminem album released in 2009, after Relapse, but was pushed back to 2010.[24] Recovery is set to be released on June 21 in the United States and the United Kingdom, and on June 18 in the rest of Europe.[26]

Eminem has done multiple interviews such as with Red Bull in promotion of the album. A commercial for Recovery premiered during Game 6 of the 2010 NBA Finals. It featured Vince Offer from the Slap Chop commercials in a parody of his commercials.[27] Also a Call of Duty: Black Ops Advert with Eminem's song Won't Back Down was released. On June 15, Eminem appeared amongst other artists including Usher and Will.i.am for Activision's press conference during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2010 with Rihanna where the duo performed "Love the Way You Lie". In addition, Eminem performed "Lose Yourself", "Not Afraid", and premiered "Won't Back Down" for the first time.[28] Eminem apeared on E! during their Daily 10 show in an interview. He also appeared in a skit on The Soup. Eminem also performed at the 2010 BET Awards.

The album artwork was released through Eminem.com. The album features two covers: One with Eminem walking down a country road and another with him sitting in a transparent living room in the middle of Detroit with the Renaissance Center in the background. The albums liner features pictures of Eminem such as a picture of him "praying" and him posing without a shirt on. The album is dedicated "2 anyone who's In a dark place tryin' to 2 get out.
